Yemen Targets Israeli Oil Tanker; Operations to Continue
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Masirah via Mehr News Agency, Yemen’s armed forces reported striking the Israeli oil tanker Scarlet Ray in northern red Sea waters.
The armed forces stated that ”this naval operation was carried out using a ballistic missile which, by God’s grace, struck this Israeli ship directly.”
The statement added: “By preventing Israeli vessels or ships heading toward ports in occupied Palestine from sailing, we continue to support the Palestinian people. We will also continue bombing Israeli targets within occupied Palestine.”
The announcement further read: “Our operations will not cease until aggression is halted and the siege on the people of Gaza is fully lifted.”
Previously, Major General Mohammed Abdulkarim Al-Ghamari, Chief of Staff of Yemen’s Army, declared that by assassinating the prime minister and ministers in Sana’a, the zionist enemy has opened “the gates of hell” against itself.
He stressed that “our response will be harsh and painful and will include effective strategic options.” Addressing Yemeni citizens, he said: “Soon you will witness what soothes your hearts.”
The recent attack by Israel on Sana’a resulted in the deaths of several government officials including Foreign minister Jamal Amer; Information Minister Hashem Sharaf al-Din; Electricity Minister Ali Saif; Interior Minister Muhammad Hassan al-Madani; Justice Minister Mujahid Ahmed Abdullah; Transport Minister Muhammad Ayash Qahim; and Sports Minister Muhammad al-Mawlid. Additionally, Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, prime Minister of Yemen’s Government of Change and Reconstruction, was also killed.
