Bin Salman Issues Latest Statement on Palestine
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, quoting Al-khaleej Online, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met on Monday with Hussein al-Sheikh, Deputy President of the Palestinian Authority, to discuss recent developments in Palestine.They emphasized ongoing coordination between both sides to confront current challenges.
The meeting took place at the Crown Prince’s office in Riyadh and reviewed developments in Palestine alongside efforts made to support the Palestinian cause and interests.
Hussein al-Sheikh praised saudi Arabia’s firm stance and extensive efforts backing the Palestinian people and their just cause across all levels.
Mohammed bin Salman underscored the importance of continuing initiatives toward gaining international recognition for the State of Palestine. He also reaffirmed support for initiatives aimed at ensuring success for the upcoming International Peace Conference scheduled for September 22 in New York.
The two sides also addressed issues surrounding visa denials faced by a Palestinian delegation intending to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
They discussed perilous conditions in the West Bank and Jerusalem, including settlement expansion, settler violence, and withholding tax revenues from the Palestinian government.
Regarding Gaza, both parties stressed that priorities include an immediate ceasefire, entry of humanitarian aid, transferring administrative responsibility over Gaza back to the palestinian government linked with West Bank authorities, Israel’s full withdrawal from Gaza, and reconstruction supported by arab countries and international community.
