Israeli Army Losses Force Tel Aviv to Recruit 60,000 New Troops
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera Qatar, Israel’s Channel 13 reported that the army plans to launch an operation in Gaza but doubts its effectiveness. Security agencies share the military’s assessment.
The channel stated that Israeli military assessments predict up to 100 soldier fatalities during a Gaza occupation operation.
Meanwhile, Israel’s Channel 12 announced that starting tomorrow, the army will begin calling up 60,000 reserve troops.
The first phase involves mobilizing five reserve brigades totaling approximately 15,000 soldiers.
Thes forces are expected to be deployed along the borders with Lebanon, Syria, and the West Bank to allow the Israeli army greater focus on combat operations in Gaza.
Al Jazeera also quoted israel’s Public Broadcasting Corporation reporting that Mossad’s chief supports a proposed partial agreement and claims hostilities could resume afterward.
According to Kan Network reports, Prime Minister Netanyahu is working to shorten the duration of the conflict in Gaza.
Reports also indicate that Israel has received support from Donald Trump for continuing its campaign in Gaza; though,this backing is not expected to be indefinite.
