Trump: Israel Has Lost Its Leverage in the United States
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Donald trump, former U.S. president, told the Daily Caller that Israel once had the most powerful lobbying group but has since weakened considerably, especially in Congress. He described the current war as damaging for Tel Aviv.
He emphasized that Israel held complete control over Congress with its strong lobbying efforts but has now lost that dominance.
Trump stated: “No one has done more for Israel than I have in our recent attacks against Iran.”
The former president also stressed: “They will have to end this war,and there is no doubt it is harming Israel.”
He continued: “Israel may win this war militarily, but it gains nothing in global public relations, which ultimately harms them.”
Regarding lobbying groups’ status, Trump noted that 15 years ago israel possessed the strongest pressure groups; however, those have notably declined today-especially within Congress.
On Ukraine’s conflict, Trump added: “I thought my relationships would help end the war quickly; however, it does not seem likely.”
“We will be able to bring this war to an end,” he said, “but it will take a long time.”
He concluded by saying Washington does not currently consider sending troops to Ukraine under security guarantees but might provide air support.
