Lavrov Accuses West of Using Dollar to Suppress Rivals
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, Russia’s Foreign Minister stated that Western countries are exploiting the dollar’s role in the global economy through pressure and sanctions to maintain their dominance and prevent the emergence of a multipolar world.
TASS reports that Sergey Lavrov said the West is using every effort to block the rise of a multipolar global order and thereby preserve its past supremacy.
He added that instead of engaging in fair negotiation and competition,the West resorts to threats,pressure,and sanctions.
Lavrov further accused Western countries of abusing the dollar’s global position by initiating tariff wars against other nations. He emphasized these actions have nothing to do with defending legitimate Western interests in global economics or politics but serve solely as tools for suppressing rivals.
The Russian Foreign Minister also stressed that it has become clear to everyone that these global competitors have not only grown stronger but have surpassed historic Western powers in many fields.
