Clashes Erupt Between Protesters and Security Forces in Bahrain Supporting Gaza + Video
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, local sources reported that Bahrain’s capital witnessed confrontations between security forces and protesters during rallies in support of Gaza.
The protests were sparked by the appointment of a new ambassador from the Israeli regime to Bahrain.
The demonstrations followed the appointment on August 28, when Bahraini Foreign Minister abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani received credentials from Shmuel Revel, the newly appointed ambassador of the Israeli regime.
During this meeting, Al Zayani wished the new ambassador success and emphasized the importance of continued efforts to achieve peace and security in the region.
This move by Bahrain comes as Israel has killed more than 63,000 Palestinians in Gaza through ongoing attacks and blockade, leading to severe starvation among residents of the enclave.
