Putin and Xi Meet on the Sidelines of Shanghai Summit
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, RIA Novosti reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese president Xi Jinping met for talks.
During this meeting, which also involved political figures from Mongolia and China, Putin emphasized that Moscow sincerely seeks to expand its relations with both Mongolia and China.
He added that Russia, China, and Mongolia are good neighbors to one another.
Putin noted that the three countries share a mutual understanding regarding the development of political, international, and humanitarian ties.
Xi Jinping stressed that joint participation by Russian and Chinese leaders in events commemorating victory in World War II has become a friendly tradition in bilateral relations between the two nations.
He further stated that despite various challenges, relations between russia and China have remained firm and serve as a model for interactions among countries.
Xi highlighted China’s readiness to cooperate with Russia in supporting growth and development for their peoples as well as defending global justice.
