Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor: 300 Homes Destroyed Daily in Gaza
The English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestinian Data Center, reported that the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated the Israeli occupation forces demolish approximately 300 residential units each day in Gaza city and Jabalia refugee camp, either fully or partially. This destruction is carried out using around 15 car bombs containing nearly 100 tons of explosives.
This international organization emphasized in a statement that these explosions occur at an unprecedented pace with the aim of destroying Gaza City and forcibly displacing its residents. They described this as part of an intensifying ongoing genocide in Gaza over roughly the past 23 months.
The human rights group added that its field team has collected evidence showing a rapid increase in Israel’s use of armored car bombs to wholly destroy neighborhoods.
the statement noted that most homes and infrastructure in Jabalia al-Balad and Jabalia al-Nazlah were previously demolished. The destruction is now expanding toward central gaza City from southern, eastern, and northern directions.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor highlighted that daily detonations have risen from about seven to fifteen car bombs. Each vehicle carries up to seven tons of explosives at times, targeting neighborhoods including Jabalia al-Balad, Jabalia al-Nazlah, Al-Zaytoun, Al-Sabra, Al-Shujaiya, Al-Tuffah and also Safatawi and Abu Askar areas.
The organization stressed that this unprecedented speed in demolishing and clearing residential neighborhoods with car bombs indicates Israel’s determination to completely eradicate gaza city.
