A suicide car bomb attack on a border police headquarters in northwest pakistan triggered an explosion and a firefight between police and militants.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Anadolu, Pakistani officials reported a suicide car bombing targeting the local border police headquarters in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, located in northwest Pakistan.
The police stated that when the vehicle struck the entrance gate, it caused a powerful explosion. Militants then entered the security compound, leading to multiple blasts and an exchange of gunfire.
one police official confirmed that the area is now under lockdown while operations against militants continue. The attack left three police officers injured and several militants dead.
