Amnesty International emphasized that the current Syrian government must hold accountable the security personnel, military forces, and their affiliates involved in these unlawful executions of Druze men and women in Sweida.
The report documents deliberate gunfire targeting 46 Druze individuals-44 men and two women-with confirmed killings plus staged executions of two elderly people on July 15th and 16th in Sweida.
Additionally, during these days armed groups chanted sectarian slogans against Druze citizens. They humiliated clergy members by shaving their mustaches-a symbolically important feature in Druze culture.
