Belgium Imposes 12 International Sanctions on Israel

Belgium’s Foreign Minister announces 12 international sanctions against Israel in response to ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.

According to⁢ the English section of webangah ‌News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Belgium’s‌ Foreign Minister Maxim Prévot declared on Tuesday: “We condemn the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip. We will recognize the ⁤State of Palestine in two stages, with⁣ the first recognition occurring at the General Assembly. Israel has made a grave mistake⁢ by resuming settlement expansion and annexation projects.”

Prévot added that Israeli⁣ violations undermine⁤ the so-called ⁣two-state solution. “We have imposed‌ 12 ‌international sanctions on⁢ israel.⁣ It is indeed crucial that Europe acts independently as a⁢ continent, and if it fails ⁢to take action, ‌we will proceed ‍individually ⁢against the Israeli occupiers,” he⁤ said.

He further ⁢stated: “We have intensified ⁣our sanctions on Israel by banning ⁣imports of products from settlements.‌ By sanctioning extremist ministers Ben-Gvir and Smotrich, ‌we have strengthened our measures against Israel. The international community ⁤must take action against Israel until Netanyahu changes his policies.”
