Beijing Places Relations with Iran on Its Diplomatic Agenda
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Mao Ning, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced on Tuesday via X social media platform that Chinese president Xi Jinping met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Beijing.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson wrote: “President Xi Jinping met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Beijing. The China-Iran relationship has stood resilient amid global changes and maintained sustainable and healthy growth.”
Mao Ning added: “China has always placed its relations with Iran high on its diplomatic agenda in the Middle East (West Asia) and is ready to work with Iran to advance friendship, deepen mutual trust, and enhance cooperation across various fields.”
He further stated: “China will continue to support justice, seek a solution to the Iranian nuclear issue that addresses all legitimate concerns of involved parties, and persistently strive for lasting peace in the Middle East (West Asia).”
