Details and Timing of Gaza Occupation Operation Revealed in Israeli Media

An Israeli media outlet has reported that⁤ the imminent military⁢ operation to occupy Gaza City, expected to begin in about three weeks, will cost approximately $7.3 billion.

The English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News ‍Agency and Al⁣ Jazeera, reported that Israeli internal security and the Ministry of Finance⁢ have recently discussed the need to increase the regime’s military budget‍ due to upcoming‍ operations in ⁤Gaza. Meanwhile, Netanyahu’s cabinet is ⁣expected to approve budget reallocations that‍ reduce funding for other ministries in favor of the Ministry of ‌War.

The ‌report states that the Israeli army has mobilized its largest reserve force as the⁢ start of the war.Preparations for Operation Gideon 2 involved calling up over 35,000 reservists so far, with an additional 25,000 expected in coming weeks-bringing total summoned forces to around⁢ 60,000.

According to this source,Israel plans to ⁢deploy most brigades in this operation except for its paratrooper brigade which will remain stationed in the West bank.

Estimates⁤ suggest that after a brief training⁣ period for reservists and rest time for active units, Israeli forces will be ready roughly three ⁤weeks ⁣from now. The operation will begin with a siege of ‌Gaza City followed by urban combat within it.

The timing of a ‌ground invasion depends on a large-scale evacuation plan involving roughly 800,000 ‍residents; however only about⁢ 10,000⁣ people have left so far.

Officials say mass evacuation is‍ expected once intensified‍ assaults and reductions in aid truck deliveries further ‍isolate Gaza following its encirclement.

the call-up decision was made amid tensions ⁤between political ⁤leaders and security ‍commanders. Manny⁤ critics prefer negotiating a prisoner exchange deal rather‌ than launching an extensive military campaign.

Recently, Israel’s Channel 12 leaked an internal document admitting failure in⁢ achieving key goals during Operation Gideon (May 16 – August 6), notably ⁤dismantling Hamas and securing hostage⁣ returns.

Israel estimates Hamas holds 48 Israeli captives alive within Gaza while more⁣ than 10,800 Palestinians remain detained inside Israeli prisons. Human rights groups report ⁤widespread torture⁤ and medical neglect among Palestinian⁤ prisoners.

since October 7, 2023-with US support-Israel has waged what it terms a genocidal war against gaza resulting in over 63,600 deaths and⁢ more⁤ than 160,000 ⁣injuries, predominantly civilians including women ‍and children.
