Kremlin Responds to Trump’s Claim of a ‘Conspiracy Against Him in Beijing
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Izvestia via Mehr News Agency, Kremlin advisor Yuri ushakov responded to US President Donald Trump’s online claim of a “conspiracy” among the leaders of Russia, china, and North Korea in Beijing against Washington. Ushakov expressed hope that Trump’s message was written in jest.
Ushakov stated, “We have read trump’s post on social media. I hope he greeted Chinese President Xi Jinping without sarcasm or irony and asked him to convey his regards to Putin and Kim Jong Un. I think Trump was joking when he suggested these three are plotting against the United states. Let me be clear: no one is conspiring. Moreover, no one even considers such a thing.”
Referring to Washington’s efforts for peace between Russia and Ukraine, Ushakov added, “Everyone understands the role played by the United States and by Trump personally in current international affairs.”
Trump posted his message during the Victory Day parade in Beijing while Putin and Kim Jong Un stood alongside Xi Jinping. He wrote: “The big question is whether Xi Jinping remembers the enormous support-and blood-the United States has given China in securing its freedom from an extremely unpleasant foreign invader.”
He continued: “many Americans died striving for China’s victory and glory. I hope they are rightfully honored and their courage and sacrifice remembered! May President Xi and the remarkable people of China have a grand party.”
Ending with irony, Trump added: “Please send my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un as you conspire against the United States!”
The US president also said last night that he is disappointed with Putin but will take action to help the people of Ukraine.
