Russia Launches Overnight Attack on Western Ukraine with Over 500 Drones and Missiles
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and ABC News, Ukraine’s Air Force stated that Russia launched an assault on western Ukraine within the past 24 hours using over 500 drones and missiles.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia fired 502 drones and 24 missiles toward western Ukraine. Ukraine’s air defenses shot down 430 drones and 21 missiles during the attack.
Kiev officials said that 69 drones and three missiles evaded interception, striking 14 locations. Following the attack, NATO fighter jets patrolled along the Polish border.
Ukrainian authorities confirmed explosions in western regions including Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Lutsk. Timur Takachenko, head of Kiev’s military management, stated that at least one drone crashed in the Ukrainian capital.
