Hamas Declares: The Zionist Regime Has No Future in Palestinian Land
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestine Details Center, Abd al-Hakim Hanini, a Hamas leader, issued a press statement today condemning right-wing Israeli Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s aggressive remarks about imposing sovereignty over the West Bank. He described these statements as reflecting a fascist approach and an expansionist settlement policy by Israel’s government-one that perpetrates genocide in Gaza while pursuing annexation and expulsion of Palestinians in the West Bank.
Hanini added that Israel’s occupation plans and projects will not provide real security for the regime but will only lead it toward greater challenges and confrontations.
He emphasized that regardless of how much Israel increases its violence and aggression, it holds no future on Palestinian land.
The Hamas leader reaffirmed Palestinians’ commitment to their historical rights. He said all attempts by the occupying regime to impose new realities or deny Palestinians their right to found an self-reliant state wiht Jerusalem as its capital are doomed to fail.
Hanini called on the Arab and Islamic nations, international community, and freedom-loving peoples worldwide to uphold their humanitarian and ethical responsibilities. He urged them firmly oppose colonial policies that ignore international laws and norms with aims to eradicate the Palestinian cause.
Bezalel Smotrich has claimed that the US government supports Tel Aviv’s decision to destroy any prospect for a Palestinian state. He asserted that applying sovereignty over the West Bank would prevent Palestine from being established as a country.
Smotrich described this step as practical resistance against political attacks on Israel. Calling it a historic growth, he said if approved by Israel’s prime minister, this action would be recorded in history.
He further stressed: “Our goal is complete destruction of any possibility for establishing a Palestinian state.” Addressing Gaza developments as well, smotrich stated that partial agreements make returning to war there harder-leaving Israel only two options: surrender or destroy Hamas.
Meanwhile, Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Israel’s finance minister is working toward expanding Israeli sovereignty over 82 percent of West Bank territory.
