Suicide Bombing in Pakistan Kills and Injures Around 50
A suicide attack during a political gathering in southwestern Pakistan killed at least 13 people, according to the English section of webangah news Agency citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu.
The gathering was organized by the Baloch National party (BNP). Sajid Tarin, deputy head of the party, confirmed that 13 party workers were among those killed.
Speaking to reporters in Quetta, Tarin identified the incident as a suicide bombing. The Dawn newspaper quoted a hospital official reporting 13 fatalities so far.
Local police station officials stated they have registered details for 11 deaths.They also reported that around 35 people were injured in the blast.
The Baloch National party is led by Akhtar Mengal, who previously served as chief minister of Pakistan’s Balochistan province.
