Ghana Embassy Reopens in Iran
Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces the reopening of its embassy in Tehran.
The English section of webangah News Agency,citing Ghana Times via Mehr News Agency,reported that Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Wednesday that its embassy in Tehran will reopen on Tuesday,September 16,2025.
The embassy was temporarily closed in June following Israel’s aggression against Iran.
The ministry’s statement explained that the closure aimed to protect its staff and that the improved security situation in Iran now allows the embassy to resume operations.
The statement added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue monitoring developments closely to ensure the safety of embassy personnel and Ghanaian citizens residing in Iran.
