Putin and Kim Jong Un Meet and Talk in Beijing
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik via Mehr News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met and held talks after the Victory Day parade in Beijing, China.
Putin expressed his pleasure at having the opportunity for a separate meeting with Kim Jong Un, stating that relations between Russia and North Korea are developing notably.
Commenting on the Victory Day parade, he added that the event commemorating the 80th anniversary of World War II’s end was conducted at a very high level in Beijing.
Putin also referenced North Korean soldiers’ role in liberating Russia’s Kursk region, emphasizing that this cooperation fully aligned with the extensive strategic partnership treaty between Moscow and Pyongyang.
He stressed that Russia will never forget North Korea’s role in fighting modern neo-nazism. “North Korean soldiers fought bravely in the Kursk region,” Putin said.
