Ammar Hakim Emphasizes Keeping the Region Free from Any Threats
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and the official website of Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, leader of the movement, hosted Saeed Khatibzadeh, Deputy Foreign Minister of the islamic Republic of Iran.
The meeting was held in Baghdad with Iran’s ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadegh, also present. Both sides discussed bilateral ties between Iraq and Iran and ways to strengthen them to serve the interests of both nations and their pleasant neighbors. They also reviewed recent developments across the region.
Ammar al-Hakim praised expressions of solidarity during Arbaeen ceremonies and also on occasions marking the passing of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Askari (AS).
He stressed the importance of regional stability, noting that any threat in any part of the region threatens countries’ security and stability.
Referring specifically to Iraq’s situation, al-Hakim explained that upcoming elections are essential for transitioning toward lasting stability. He described this process as establishing a new chapter for Iraq’s future.
