Car Bomb Explosion Rocks Damascus
Syrian media reported that an explosion shook the Al-Mazzeh district in the capital city.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, Syrian outlets reported that a car bomb exploded today near the Al-Mazzeh 86 neighborhood in Damascus.
Sources added that security forces immediately arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area surrounding the blast site.
Reports indicated no further details about casualties or damage had been released at the time of reporting.
This marks the second explosion in Damascus within a few hours.
A large blast occurred earlier today near Damascus International Airport, located south of Syria’s capital.
An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that this explosion took place at a former military base near Damascus Airport.
