Russia: US Missile Sales to Ukraine Contradict Washington’s Claims
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasized that Moscow has no intention of discussing foreign military involvement in Ukraine.
She also described Washington’s approval to sell missiles to ukraine as contradictory to its stated desire for a political and peaceful solution to the crisis.
Zakharova stated, “The security guarantees Zelenskyy seeks for Ukraine are unacceptable and actually represent ’dangerous guarantees’ for Europe.”
She added that Sergey Lavrov will represent Russia at the upcoming United Nations General Assembly session in September.
Zakharova further announced that lavrov will attend a new round of “strategic talks” between russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council on September 11.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also noted that Lavrov will hold bilateral meetings with his Arab counterparts on the sidelines of this event.
