Macron: In an Unstable World, Ukraine Must Be Guaranteed Support
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency adn Russia Al-Youm, French President Emmanuel Macron said today that Russia alone chose war against Ukraine. He added that Ukraine accepted Trump’s proposal for an unconditional ceasefire, but Russia is seeking to buy time. Achieving peace in Ukraine requires guarantees. “We live in a world of instability,” he said.
Macron continued: ”Strong security guarantees must be provided to Ukraine. We want to rebuild the Ukrainian army to face current and future attacks. Twenty-six countries are committed to deploying their forces on land, air, and sea within Ukraine after a ceasefire is achieved.”
He also stated that new communications will be established between American and Russian parties regarding Ukraine. In the coming days, final details of US support for the country will become clear.
During today’s meeting of coalition members in Paris, there was agreement on equipping Ukraine with long-range missiles.
