Rubio: War Could End Tomorrow if Hamas Surrenders
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that recognizing Palestine causes complications and escalates annexation plans.
He added that if Hamas surrenders and releases Israeli hostages, the war in Gaza could end as soon as tomorrow.
Recently, several countries-including some European states-expressed their readiness to recognize Palestine during a conference on Palestine chaired by france and Saudi Arabia in New York.
A joint statement from these countries’ foreign ministers said that recognizing Palestine is an vital step toward achieving a two-state solution. They also called on other nations that have not yet recognized Palestine to follow suit.
Nine countries-Australia, Canada, finland, New Zealand, Portugal, Andorra, Malta, San Marino, and Luxembourg-announced for the first time their intention to recognize Palestine. Meanwhile, others such as Iceland, Ireland, and Spain reaffirmed their commitment to continue advancing this recognition.
