Washington Warns Lebanon: Time to Disarm Hezbollah Is Running Out

According to the newspaper, Trump administration officials are concerned that the Lebanese government might back down in a potential confrontation with Hezbollah.
The cabinet of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam is scheduled to hold a meeting tommorow, Friday, focusing on the issue of arms monopoly. This comes as Lebanon faces widespread domestic criticism amid ongoing Israeli incursions into its territory.
As the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah, the Israeli military has violated it dozens of times. These breaches have resulted in several Lebanese civilian casualties and injuries.
The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon took effect in the early hours of Wednesday, November 28, 2023, through international mediation.
