Kremlin Gives Unusual Response to Question About Putin-Trump Relations
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov responded to journalists’ questions about whether Russian President Vladimir Putin feels mutual disappointment toward U.S. President Donald Trump’s actions by stating that Putin appreciates Trump.
Peskov, speaking on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum, said Putin is grateful for Trump’s efforts toward peace and his constructive approach.
In reply to whether the Russian president has become disappointed wiht his U.S. counterpart, he added that Putin fully values Trump’s efforts and the constructive nature of their relationship.
Last Monday, after a controversial absence, Trump appeared on camera saying he was disappointed in Putin and vowed to help the peopel of Ukraine.
As beginning his second term in January and initiating negotiations with Russia aimed at ending the Ukraine war, Trump has frequently expressed similar sentiments about Putin.
