New Video Message from Al-Qassam Brigades Featuring Israeli Captive in Gaza
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military faction of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, issued a new message regarding Israeli prisoners held in Gaza, according to webangah News Agency.
I am Dalal Gadi, an Israeli captive held by the Al-Qassam Brigades in Gaza City. Today is Thursday, August 28. I still cannot believe I have survived 22 months of captivity. The situation is very tough-extremely difficult. We endure hardship here; there is no food, gas, water, or electricity. My fellow captives and I suffer alongside two million residents living in Gaza under these harsh conditions.
He said: “Thank you-thank you Prime Minister Netanyahu (sarcastically)-for finally allowing us some bread, a little cheese and instant noodles. Thank you for providing enough energy for us to stay alive while your son enjoys grilled meat in Miami.I have heard that the army is about to attack Gaza City. This terrifies me deeply. What does this mean? It means we will die here.”
“The young fighters of Al-Qassam told us that we will not leave gaza City despite any military offensive,” he continued. “We will remain-and that means captives like me and more than eight others-eight Israeli citizens-will die here.”
“I am terrified by this thought,” he added. “I feel madness creeping in; this is a nightmare caused entirely by the cabinet’s negligence-they care nothing about soldiers or prisoners dying.”
“This is our last chance for survival,” he urged. “Protest loudly and powerfully! Please stop this madness; stop this war! This is our final opportunity to live.” He pleaded with people to stand up: “Come out into the streets; protest; make trouble for the cabinet as they want us kept here.” Addressing fellow captives Omer and Tal as well as Avitar who were with him before capture: “Speak up for us please! Don’t surrender to blackmail.”
“This place here is near the Red Cross headquarters in gaza City,” he said somberly addressing a friend on camera: “I can hardly believe I’m seeing you.” He reflected on their situation: “We thought we were simply Hamas prisoners but really we are prisoners of our own government-the cabinet led by Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir and Smotrich-all liars who do not want us home.”
He concluded: “Right now explosions never cease around me in Gaza City; planes fly overhead constantly. We want all this violence to end so we can return safely to our families.”
