UK Deputy Prime Minister Resigns Amid Financial Scandal

CNN reports that rayner’s departure is another setback for British prime Minister Keir Starmer, whose popularity has been steadily declining. It also means his cabinet will lose one of its moast prominent political figures.
On Friday, Rayner announced in a letter to Starmer her resignation as Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, and Deputy Leader of the Labor Party.
