Google Signs $45 Million Contract with Benjamin Netanyahu’s Office
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestinian Shehab News agency, reported that Google has entered into a $45 million agreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office to boost advertising in favor of the regime through its platforms.
According to the report, this contract began in late June and will run for six months. It explicitly focuses on promoting advertisements supportive of Israel, positioning Google as a “main supporter of Netanyahu’s messages.”
The deal followed israel’s declaration in March of a full blockade on Gaza, banning food, medicine, and fuel from entering.
The campaign includes videos published on YouTube-among them is a clip from israel’s Foreign Ministry titled “There is Food in Gaza,” which has attracted over six million views.
The agreement also covers the engagement of American influencers and allocating millions toward paid promotions via platforms such as X (formerly twitter) for $3 million, and Outbrain/Tides for approximately $2.1 million.
