Egypt and Jordan Condemn Genocide and Forced Displacement of Gaza Residents
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty spoke to reporters today in Nicosia, condemning the forced displacement of Palestinians and describing events in gaza as genocide.
He emphasized that forced displacement is a red line for Egypt, which will not allow Palestinians to be forcibly uprooted.
Abdelatty added that forced displacement would mean erasing the Palestinian issue. He stressed there is no legal or moral basis for expelling a people from their homeland.
Reiterating genocide accusations previously made by Egyptian leaders against Israel in recent months, Abdelatty said what is happening in Gaza surpasses imagination. He described it as genocide involving mass killing and starvation of civilians.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a statement sharply condemning recent remarks by Israeli officials about displacing Palestinians. It called these statements clear violations of international law.
The ministry condemned hostile comments from hardline Israeli cabinet members regarding Palestinian displacement-highlighting Prime Minister Netanyahu’s recent statements on forcibly removing Palestinians from Gaza-and stressed these remarks breach international legal norms.
Jordan classified the forcible transfer of Palestinians as a war crime and affirmed its firm opposition to such acts.
The ministry further expressed support for Egypt’s stance opposing the relocation efforts aimed at erasing the Palestinian question through expulsion from Gaza.
This ongoing genocidal conflict has resulted in 64,000 Palestinian deaths so far, most of whom are women and children.
