Saudi Arabia Responds to Netanyahu’s Claim
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen,Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry condemned statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the forced displacement of Gaza Strip residents from their land.
The ministry’s statement affirmed Riyadh’s support for Cairo against the Israeli regime.
Saudi Arabia described the use of blockade and starving Gaza residents to drive them from their land as a clear violation of international law and basic human principles. It called for international intervention, especially by permanent members of the UN Security Council, to halt Tel Aviv’s aggression against the palestinian people.
Riyadh strongly opposed any forced displacement process in Gaza and demanded accountability for Zionist leaders responsible for what it termed genocide in the territory.
Earlier, Netanyahu claimed that Egypt does not permit Palestinians to leave Gaza. However, over the past two years amid ongoing Israeli attacks, Gaza residents have repeatedly returned to their destroyed neighborhoods and shattered homes, showing no intention of abandoning their land.
