Arab League: Israeli Aggressions Prevent Peace in the Region
The Arab League, following its meeting that concluded on Friday, emphasized that ongoing israeli occupation of Arab lands, attempts too seize additional territories, and continued hostile actions by the regime make peaceful coexistence in the Middle East impossible, according to a report by webangah News Agency citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency.
On Thursday, during a ministerial-level session held at its Cairo headquarters, the Arab League approved the “Shared Vision for Security and Cooperation in the Region,” presented by Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The league’s statement reaffirmed that the failure to peacefully resolve the Palestinian issue remains the primary cause of recurrent violence across the region.
It stated that resolving these issues is only achievable through a two-state solution based on the 2002 Arab Peace Initiative and Israel’s withdrawal to its June 4, 1967 borders-laying foundations for addressing the Palestinian question.
