Sayyid Ammar Hakim Pays Tribute to Imam Khomeini; Iran as the Stronghold of the Islamic World
Seyyed Ammar Hakim, leader of Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement, arrived in Tehran on the evening of August 4 to start his official trip to Iran. Upon arrival, he visited the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini and recited Fatiha as a mark of respect for the esteemed founder of the Islamic Revolution. he also met with Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, custodian of Imam Khomeini’s shrine, for discussions.
Hakim is the first Iraqi official to visit Iran following the recent 12-day war and Israeli aggression.His agenda includes consultations on bilateral relations, regional developments, and cooperation aimed at achieving regional stability and security.
During their meeting, Hakim referred to the solidarity shown by Muslims-both Shiite and Sunni-with Iran during this recent conflict. He emphasized that due to widespread opposition toward Israel, Muslim communities support any country that defends itself against Israeli aggression.
The national Wisdom Movement leader noted that Iran quickly recovered from Israel’s attack shock. He highlighted how Iranian missile capabilities inflicted a notable blow on Israel’s defense systems and caught them off guard. Hakim asserted that following these setbacks,Israel now seeks unrest within Iran.
He concluded by describing Iran as a frontline bastion for the Islamic world. “Regional countries have realized that if Iran weakens in its battle against Israel,” he said, “the entire region will suffer.”
