Egypt Strongly Opposes Expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza Strip
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Egypt’s foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati stated today that the current situation in Gaza is a full-scale famine engineered by Tel Aviv.He attributed the failure to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Strip to Israeli stubbornness.
He added, “We have exerted every effort to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, but Tel Aviv has obstructed it. Cairo firmly opposes any participation in cruel acts against the Palestinian nation and will not allow them to be displaced from the region wiht the aim of erasing the Palestinian cause.”
Abdel Ati emphasized that “the Rafah crossing on Egypt’s side remains open around the clock.”
earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office responded to Egypt’s Foreign Ministry stance opposing Palestinian displacement through Rafah by asserting that Netanyahu respects people’s right to choose where they live.
The office added that Netanyahu considers choosing one’s place of residence a basic human right at all times, especially during wartime.
However, while making thes remarks,Netanyahu made no mention of what many describe as genocide against Gaza residents for their decision to remain on their land and not leave the area.
