Jordan Government Spokesperson: Forced Displacement Is a War Crime and Crime Against Humanity
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing CNN Arabic, Jordanian government spokesman Mohammad Al-Momani said his country is firmly against the forced displacement of Palestinians. He emphasized that international law forbids the compulsory transfer of populations from occupied lands.
He described such displacement as a war crime and a crime against humanity. “Neither the Palestinian peopel nor any regional state-especially Jordan-accepts thes plans,” he said.”The right of return is an authentic and established right, undeniably recognized both legally and morally. Any attempt to eradicate Palestinians from their land constitutes a violation of their rights, infringement on state sovereignty, and an act of war.”
Al-Momani called the idea of forced displacement an outdated racist mindset that lacks humanity. He added, “The occupying regime persists with hunger policies aimed at forcible transfer-a vengeful approach that clearly shows the moral and political failure of Israel’s far-right faction.”
He further stressed: “A Palestinian state will be established, and the Palestinian people will achieve their right to self-determination. The growing recognition of Palestine by countries worldwide reflects global support for justice and standing on the right side of history.”
