Hamas: Israeli Regime’s Justification for Bombing Gaza Residential Towers Is a Lie
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) strongly condemned the recent wave of Israeli regime crimes in Gaza City, including the bombing and destruction of towers housing displaced residents, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera.
In its statement, Hamas said that the demolition of a new residential tower by the Israeli enemy’s military in Gaza City, along with threats to target more towers, represents an attempt at forced displacement and a planned ethnic cleansing. The enemy’s war minister’s insistence on continuing to demolish residential buildings in Gaza indicates ongoing crimes aimed at forcibly uprooting Gaza’s residents and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.
The statement added that Israel’s justification for targeting residential towers-claiming their use by resistance groups-is unfounded and a blatant lie intended to cover up war crimes and genocide in Gaza. Hamas warned that these ongoing attacks aim at the total destruction of Gaza City and imposing widespread forced displacement on its inhabitants, constituting an unprecedented crime in modern history.
Hamas emphasized that the United Nations and Security Council must end their silence immediately and take urgent measures to halt Israel’s brutal aggression against Gaza City.
The movement also called upon Arab and Islamic countries as well as free peoples around the world to take swift, effective action, holding Israel’s leaders-especially Benjamin Netanyahu-accountable as war criminals.
