Hezbollah Warns of a “Human Tsunami” If Resistance Is Disarmed
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, Hezbollah’s Deputy Head of Political council stated that they have not been informed about the details of Lebanon’s military covert plan to disarm the resistance.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Mahmoud Qomati added: “The popular movement is proceeding spontaneously, but if the disarmament plan is implemented, a human tsunami will occur.”
He stressed: “We are currently dealing with Israeli violations through strategic patience,and the Lebanese government should appreciate this.”
The deputy political council chief warned: “If war with Israel is imposed on us, we are ready.”
This senior Hezbollah official’s remarks come as Lebanon’s Cabinet announced yesterday its approval in principle of the military’s disarmament plan targeting Hezbollah while preferring to keep its details confidential.
