Maariv: Yemen’s Attack on Ramon Carries Dangerous Messages
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, reported that the Hebrew-language newspaper Maariv acknowledged the recent Yemeni drone attack on Ramon Airport in the occupied territories carries multiple dangerous messages. The assault could disrupt aircraft movements in the area.
Maariv added that global media coverage of Yemen’s drone strike may prompt foreign airlines to reconsider resuming flights to the occupied territories.
The newspaper recalled that in May, when a Yemeni missile hit Ben Gurion Airport, Israeli officials made extensive efforts to persuade those airlines to restart their operations into these areas.
Still, airline returns were slow, directly affecting israelis due to a significant surge in ticket prices caused by flight shortages.
Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s Armed Forces, announced on Sunday a large-scale drone operation targeting sites within the occupied lands.
He stated that eight drones struck multiple targets across Negev, Umm al-rashrash, Ashkelon, Ashdod, and Jaffa. Ramon Airport was also attacked by drones, leading to suspension of its flights.
