Area Around Eyal Zamir’s House Declared a Closed Military Zone
According to webangah News Agency’s English section,citing Mehr news Agency and Russia Today,the Israeli army has unprecedentedly declared the surroundings of Eyal Zamir’s house-head of Israel’s military staff-a closed military zone.
This move by Tel Aviv follows escalating protests by residents in the occupied territories,particularly in the Ramot Hashavim settlement at the center of this region,against the continuation of a futile war in Gaza Strip.
Israeli protesters demonstrated outside Zamir’s home,painting its walls red to symbolize opposition to Israel’s actions.
The Israeli police confronted demonstrators and arrested at least eight protesters.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that security checkpoints have been set up on routes leading to Zamir’s residence by police forces.
