Police Shoot Protesters in Nepal: 14 Dead, 70 Injured

According ‌to the English section of webangah News​ Agency, citing Anadolu Agency via Mehr News ​Agency, police⁤ opened fire on anti-government protesters during a rally in Kathmandu, the capital ⁣of Nepal, ⁣resulting in ​14 ‌deaths and more than 70 injuries.

The Kathmandu newspaper reported that police used ​water cannons, tear gas, and live ammunition against the demonstrators.

Reports indicate that over 70 injured individuals ‍were taken ⁤to⁢ hospitals, wiht 14 in critical⁣ condition.

The ⁢military was deployed⁢ to Kathmandu following violations of⁢ the ⁢curfew regulations.

Access ⁢to Facebook,⁣ Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn was blocked nationwide after registration requests were not submitted ​within the specified timeframe to Nepal’s⁣ Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
