Drone Strike on Resistance (Samud) Fleet off Tunisian Coast

The English⁢ section of webangah News Agency,‌ citing Mehr News Agency, reported that Qatar’s⁢ Al Jazeera, quoting the management committee of the Resistance ⁣Fleet⁢ (sumud), announced that the vessel “Family” was targeted in an⁢ incendiary drone attack, causing a​ fire onboard. Consequently,ships⁢ have been advised to avoid approaching Port Sidi Bou​ Said.

In ​this context, Tiago Avila, a member of the ‌Resistance Fleet committee (Sumud), confirmed that several crew members ⁣were aboard during⁣ the attack but all survived.

The UN⁣ Special Rapporteur on Palestinian territories also verified the occurrence ‍of this incident.

Additionally, Reuters⁣ reported that the ship ⁢carried ⁣members of the Resistance Fleet’s ‌steering committee.⁤ Though, all⁤ passengers and crew are unharmed.

the Global Resistance fleet stated that it’s main vessel⁤ “Family,” transporting ⁢steering committee members, was‌ attacked-believed to be by a drone.

According⁤ to ​their report, ‌the boat⁤ flew under Portugal’s flag and all aboard remain safe.

The Global⁢ resistance Fleet added that ⁣investigations‌ are ongoing‍ and further details will be released once available.

The fleet emphasized that such hostile‍ acts will not deter ⁤them⁢ from their peaceful mission to ‍break Gaza’s blockade and stand‌ in solidarity with its people.

The Global Resistance Fleet also confirmed that ‍due to ​the drone attack, significant damage occured‍ on ‍both the​ main deck and ‍lower hold‍ of⁣ “family” (al-A’ila).
