U.S. Proposal Details for Ceasefire in Gaza

They said that under this proposal, all Israeli prisoners would be released within 48 hours from the start of the agreement.
In exchange, Palestinian prisoners-including those sentenced to life imprisonment-would also be freed. The final clause addresses the remains of Israeli prisoners,specifying a set time during the ceasefire for their return.
The proposed ceasefire would last 60 days, and it is claimed that former President Trump has positioned himself as its personal guarantor. Israeli sources added that this framework is broader than previous offers; it does not only involve a military withdrawal and establishing an alternative government in Gaza but also includes Hamas’s disarmament-a demand regarded as one of Palestine’s red lines by resistance groups.
The Israeli withdrawal from Gaza is expected to happen gradually, with its main phase occurring at the beginning of the ceasefire.
Simultaneously occurring, Palestinian parties reportedly do not trust American guarantees on this matter.
