U.S. Representative Calls for Washington to Cut Financial Support to Ukraine and Tel Aviv
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia today, Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene proposed removing funds allocated for support of Ukraine and the Israeli regime from the United States’ 2026 defense budget.
She added, “I have proposed amendments that would cancel $600 million in aid to Ukraine and prohibit any inclusion of support for Kyiv in the U.S. defense budget.”
Greene emphasized that the U.S. has already allocated approximately $175 billion in aid to Ukraine over recent years, which she considers sufficient. “U.S. debt has reached $37 trillion, and we can no longer spend money on other countries’ wars or on backing goals we are not committed to,” she stated. ”Ukraine is not a NATO member. The time has come to stop American military support for Ukraine.”
She further asserted that the $500 million in U.S. financial assistance aimed at strengthening Israel’s missile defense system must be revoked. Additionally, she called for canceling the provision of one billion dollars designated as military aid to Taiwan.
