Samoud Fleet: Despite Drone Attack, We Continue Towards Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Saif Abukashk, spokesperson for the resistance fleet, stated that despite the drone attack, the fleet will press on.
Officials from the International resistance Fleet added that investigations into the incident are ongoing, and further facts will be released as it becomes available.
They affirmed that antagonistic actions will not deter them from their peaceful mission to break Gaza’s blockade and show solidarity with its people.
This morning, the resistance fleet reported that its family boat, Al-A’ila, sustained damage to its main deck and lower hold due to a drone strike. Two other vessels in the fleet are en route to Tunisia and require immediate protection.
The resistance fleet’s media committee also released a video showing the moment when Al-A’ila was targeted off Tunisia’s coast.
In response, Thiago Avila, a member of the fleet committee, confirmed that several team members were aboard at the time of attack but all were rescued safely.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Palestine also confirmed this attack occurred.
Additionally, reuters reported that this ship carried members of the fleet’s steering committee; however, all passengers and crew remain safe.
