Samoud Fleet: Despite Drone Attack, We Continue Towards Gaza

despite a drone attack early this morning on the International Resistance Fleet (Samoud), fleet officials emphasized their determination to⁢ continue ⁣toward the Gaza Strip.

According‍ to the English section of webangah‍ News Agency, citing Mehr News ‌Agency and ‌Al Jazeera, Saif Abukashk, spokesperson for the ⁣resistance fleet, stated ‌that despite the drone attack, the​ fleet will press on.

Officials from the International resistance Fleet added that⁣ investigations into the incident are ongoing, and further​ facts will be released as it becomes available.

They affirmed that antagonistic​ actions will not deter them from ⁣their peaceful mission to⁤ break Gaza’s blockade⁣ and show solidarity with its people.

This morning, the resistance fleet⁤ reported that its family boat, Al-A’ila, sustained‌ damage to its⁣ main deck and lower hold due to a drone ​strike. Two other vessels in the ⁣fleet are en route to Tunisia and require immediate protection.

The resistance‍ fleet’s media committee also released a video showing⁢ the⁣ moment when Al-A’ila was targeted off Tunisia’s coast.

In ⁣response, Thiago Avila,‌ a ​member of the ‍fleet committee, confirmed that several team​ members were aboard at the time of attack but all were rescued ‌safely.

Meanwhile, the United Nations Special ⁢Rapporteur on Palestine also confirmed this attack occurred.

Additionally, reuters reported that this ship carried members of the fleet’s steering committee; however, all passengers and crew remain⁢ safe.
