UN Calls for Immediate Protection of Samoud Fleet
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency adn Al Jazeera,Francesca Albanese,the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories,has demanded urgent protection for the remaining vessels of the Samood global fleet after a drone strike targeted one of its ships at the port of Tunis.
Albanese confirmed in a post on X that the flagship ship of the samood fleet was hit by a drone strike while docked at Tunis port.
She emphasized the immediate need to safeguard two other boats currently en route to Tunis to join the resistance fleet.
Early this morning, Samood’s fleet announced that one of its ships had sustained damage to its main deck and lower tank due to a drone attack. The two additional boats heading toward Tunisia require urgent protection.
The resistance fleet’s media committee also released a video capturing the moment when their boat was targeted off Tunisia’s coast.
Thiago Avila, a member of the resistance fleet committee, confirmed that several team members were onboard during the attack but all were safely rescued.
