Trump Administration Announces Launch of “Blitz Attack” Operation in Chicago
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and France 24, reports that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has initiated a new operation in Chicago as part of its ongoing tough stance against illegal immigrants. The operation focuses specifically on what officials describe as the “worst criminals.”
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released its declaration about this “Lightning Strike” operation shortly after Trump repeatedly threatened too deploy National Guard troops to Illinois and engaged in online confrontations with Illinois Governor J.B.Pritzker.
In a statement, Tricia mclellan, Deputy Secretary at DHS, accused Governor Pritzker and his allies of allowing members of the “Tren de Aragua” gang-rapists, kidnappers, and drug traffickers-to roam freely on Chicago’s streets for years. She said their negligence endangered American lives and made the city a magnet for criminals.
Governor Pritzker, a Democrat, responded to these allegations on X (formerly Twitter), insisting that this operation is not about fighting crime but rather an effort by Washington to intimidate Illinois residents without coordinating with local authorities.
The DHS statement included names, photos, and criminal records for 11 individuals designated as “illegal alien criminals,” all currently being sought by authorities.
Following earlier deployments of national Guard troops and raid operations in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles-which received strong negative reactions-Republican President trump declared victory. Continuing his anti-immigration policies alongside militarization efforts to increase military presence on urban streets, he now targets Chicago under Democratic leadership.
The president described Chicago as a “hell valley” turned into ruins by waves of armed crime.
