Maduro Reveals US’s Main Motive for Creating Tensions in the Caribbean
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro stated that the primary reason for the U.S. deployment and military presence in the Caribbean region is Venezuela’s vast oil and natural gas reserves.
In an interview with Russia Today,Maduro said,”Venezuela holds the largest oil reserves in the world,which have recently increased due to new exploration technologies.”
He added, “We possess the fourth-largest natural gas reserves globally, spread throughout the Caribbean region. That is why they have sent their warships there.”
The Venezuelan president further explained Washington’s heightened military activity in the area: “We may also have some of the world’s largest gold deposits-this is not all! Thirty million hectares of fertile land and water resources are also involved.”
U.S. Attorney general Merrick Garland recently announced a $50 million reward for details leading to Maduro’s arrest.The management of former President Donald Trump accused Maduro of leading the ”Cartel de los Soles.” Following this declaration, several American warships were deployed to the Caribbean under the pretext of combating drug cartels in that region.
Amidst rising U.S. military activity near its waters, Maduro yesterday announced deploying 25,000 additional troops along Venezuela’s coastline. He emphasized that this mobilization aims to safeguard Venezuela’s sovereignty and national security while striving for peace.
