Attack on Qatar: Israel’s Hegemonic Paradigm and the Strategic Mistake of Arab States

Arab countries‌ believe the Abraham Accords (2020) protect them. but this is an ⁢illusion. Israel ⁤confronts ⁢everyone to shape the new order.

Meh ⁣News‌ Agency, International desk, Mohammadreza Moradi, Director of International and Foreign News at Meh ‍News Agency, wrote in ⁢an analysis: Israel ‌has adopted a‌ systematic strategy from 2023 to 2025 aimed at reconstructing the‍ Middle⁤ East regional order. This approach is ‌based on redefining regional relations and seeks⁢ to establish Israeli hegemony through ⁣targeted‍ military operations and diplomatic pressure. Previously,in an article titled Israel’s Paradigm Shift: From “Mowing⁤ the Lawn” to ⁢a “Total Victory” Strategy, this strategic⁣ conversion was examined.⁢ This policy⁤ began with ⁢the attack on Gaza in October 2023 and ‍has as extended ⁣to operations against Hezbollah,⁢ Syria, Iran, and recently Qatar. Backed ⁤by Trump’s support, Netanyahu aims to send a clear message: “Israel recognizes no borders and no power ⁢can stop it.”

When Israel attacked iran last June, some Arab states quietly welcomed it-they‍ were ‌pleased that a major rival had been targeted by ⁣Israel. However, this marked the‍ beginning of strategic miscalculations⁣ across the region. The ‌unfolding events since October 2023 ⁣have far from ⁤reached ‌their conclusion.

the gaza war was the starting point.‍ According to United Nations reports, over 62,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza; one of its gravest atrocities is‍ currently underway there. Netanyahu described the Gaza conflict as an prospect‍ to rebuild Middle ⁤Eastern ⁤order under Israeli hegemony. ⁢Following Gaza came Lebanon’s⁤ Hezbollah movement as a target; ⁢many of its ⁣leaders ⁣including Hassan ‍Nasrallah survived‍ repeated ⁤assassination attempts while southern and central Lebanon faced multiple Israeli strikes. After several attacks⁤ in Lebanon Netanyahu declared: “The ⁣enemies⁤ can no ‍longer breathe.” This victory helped pave the way for Assad’s fall in December 2024 and⁣ removed a ‍strategic threat⁣ along Israel’s northern ⁣border. The pinnacle of Israel’s renewed strategy came with war against Iran in ‌June 2025 when attacks hit Natanz and Fordow nuclear sites alongside assassinations of IRGC commanders-clearly demonstrating its evolving regional policy.

During thes developments Arab leaders largely acted as passive observers hoping they could avoid or withstand what they saw as “the pains of birth ⁢for Netanyahu’s new⁢ order.” This proved fatal for them strategically. The‌ assault ⁢on Qatar resonated like‍ a ⁤warning bell throughout Arab ⁤nations-it marked Israel’s ⁣first⁤ strike‍ on Gulf sheikhdoms proving that even ⁢america’s ⁣closest allies are vulnerable. Just two ‌days earlier Trump had urged Hamas toward accepting a ceasefire plan; yet Israel turned diplomacy into⁣ entrapment.

This latest attack reveals a basic‌ shift in⁤ Israeli military doctrine: crossing conventional geographic boundaries without ‌regard for diplomatic norms or conventions. Arab states mistakenly believe that Abraham Accords (2020) guarantee their security – but this is false confidence. To establish ‌its new order , Israel confronts ⁤everyone indiscriminately. UAE, Saudi Arabia,__Kuwait__, Bahrain__, and others‍ must abandon these‌ flawed assumptions. The Abraham⁢ Accords are fragile agreements; hosting⁢ America’s largest military ⁤base does not ensure safety. That message was ‍delivered loud and clear through Israel’s strike on Doha.

An Arab-Iranian alliance becomes essential if this aggressive new order is to be stopped-otherwiseIsrael may ‌proceed ⁣with plans ⁣reshaping Middle Eastern geography significantly while triggering prolonged ‌instability throughout the region.
