Macron Unveils France’s New Prime Minister
French President appoints Sébastien Lecornu as the country’s new Prime Minister.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Reuters, French President Emmanuel Macron has appointed conservative Sébastien Lecornu as Prime Minister.
The government backed by Macron collapsed yesterday following a vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister.
French parliament members voted no confidence in Prime Minister François Bayrou’s governance.
Bayrou’s government had been in office for less than a year, having taken over after the fall of former Prime Minister Michel Barnier’s administration.
