Official Formation of New Political Organization in Julani Regime Announced
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Al Mayadeen, Haitham Manaa, a member of the Syrian National Movement committee, read the party’s founding statement.
Manaa emphasized that all countries aiming to influence Syria’s situation and control movements through militarism or sectarianism have made such attempts.
He criticized the current state in Syria and political repression there, noting unchecked armament, foreign attempts to control Syrian resources, and occupation of parts of syria by Israeli and Turkish regimes.
Manaa, previously an opponent of former President Bashar al-Assad’s government, added that the genocide in Gaza was orchestrated to shift power balances after years of war led to Syria’s fragmentation.
Describing his party’s activities, he said: “We have gathered from various sectors across the country to end the reproduction of dictatorship in Syria under both old and new guises. The Syrian National Movement works against division and preserves national unity while pursuing freedom of expression, thoght, and conscience.”
Manaa claimed they will strive for a participatory democratic political system based on separation of powers that upholds popular sovereignty and social justice.
He stated that their goal is a free and independent unified Syria through broad decentralization rooted in society itself rather then decisions from capitals or factions. Manaa called for efforts toward building a national army dedicated to protecting the country and liberating occupied lands.
